Get answers to common questions about Brozilian Wax (Man Brazilian).
Aim for about 1/4 inch (5–7 mm) of growth so wax grips properly. If hair is shorter, trimming helps; if much longer, we may trim before waxing. Regular appointments every 4–6 weeks maintain smoothness.
Some first-timers feel brief, sharp tugs followed by quick relief. Our technicians use efficient technique, calming products, and breathing guidance to minimize discomfort. Numbing creams available on request; sensitivity usually subsides within a day or two with proper aftercare.
Shower and gently exfoliate 24–48 hours before appointment to remove dead skin. Avoid heavy lotions or sunscreens on the area, and skip alcohol or blood-thinning medications if possible. Arrive relaxed; avoid shaving between sessions to allow proper hair length.
Avoid hot tubs, saunas, heavy exercise, and sexual activity for 24–48 hours to reduce irritation and infection risk. Wear breathable, loose clothing and use soothing, fragrance-free post-wax serum. Begin gentle exfoliation after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs.
Most clients return every 4–6 weeks depending on personal hair growth and desired look. Regular waxing can reduce density over time, allowing longer intervals. Book follow-ups based on regrowth; we’ll recommend scheduling to maintain smoothness and comfort.
Certain conditions like active rashes, open wounds, recent surgery, severe varicose veins, uncontrolled diabetes, or isotretinoin (Accutane) use can make waxing unsuitable. Inform us of medications and health history — we’ll advise, and may request physician clearance when necessary for safety.
