Trim hair to about 1/4 inch, avoid shaving for four weeks, exfoliate gently two days before, and arrive clean. Avoid caffeine and heavy exercise immediately before. Communicate any sensitivities so your esthetician can customize technique and comfort measures.
Some discomfort is normal, but waxing pain is brief and typically less irritating than frequent shaving. Sensation varies by sensitivity and experience; regular waxing reduces discomfort over time. We offer calming pre- and post-care to minimize pain and soothe skin.
Most clients see smoothness for 3–6 weeks depending on hair cycle, hormone levels, and individual growth. Regular waxing can lead to finer, slower regrowth. Schedule maintenance appointments every 4–6 weeks for consistent results and optimal hair control.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, intense workouts, and tight clothing for 24–48 hours. Gently exfoliate after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs and use a soothing, fragrance-free lotion. Contact us if redness or irritation persists beyond a few days.
We cannot wax over sunburned, irritated, or infected skin, and clients using isotretinoin (Accutane) or recent chemical peels should avoid waxing. Inform us about medications, pregnancy, or skin conditions so we can advise safe alternatives or scheduling.
Yes, many clients can while pregnant; however comfort and skin sensitivity change. We recommend informing your esthetician, scheduling later trimesters if needed, and avoiding waxing if you have complications. We follow extra comfort measures and positioning to ensure safety.
