Arrive with clean, dry skin free of oils or heavy lotions. Exfoliate gently one to two days before, and ensure hair is at least a quarter-inch long. Avoid recent sun exposure, retinoids, or chemical peels to reduce irritation and improve results.
Waxing itself does not darken skin, but temporary redness or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation can occur, especially on sensitive or sun-exposed skin. Use sunscreen, avoid sun immediately after waxing, and follow aftercare to minimize discoloration. Consult your esthetician for personalized advice.
Results typically last three to six weeks depending on your hair growth cycle, hormones, and care routine. With regular waxing, regrowth becomes finer and intervals may extend. Maintain results with gentle exfoliation and scheduled appointments every four to six weeks as recommended.
Most clients feel a quick stinging or tugging sensation, but discomfort is usually brief. Our estheticians use fast, precise technique, high-quality wax, and calming products. Apply cool compresses afterward and avoid tight clothing; ask about topical numbing if you have low pain tolerance.
Topical retinoids and some acne treatments increase skin sensitivity and risk of tearing or irritation. We recommend stopping topical retinoids seven to fourteen days before waxing and disclosing prescriptions at booking. Your esthetician will advise based on your medication and skin condition.
Keep skin clean and cool for twenty-four to forty-eight hours: avoid hot showers, saunas, tanning, and intense workouts. Apply a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer and avoid harsh exfoliation for two days. After forty-eight hours, resume gentle exfoliation and always use sunscreen.
